Disney on Ice Presents Princess Classics brings some of the most popular characters from Disney stories together in a single program.
This production includes the largest three-dimensional set ever used by Disney on Ice - a three-story castle that can be adapted to the many time periods and styles represented by the different stories, which range from European fairy tale kingdom ("Sleeping Beauty") to ancient Middle East ("Aladdin") to medieval China ("Mulan"). The set was designed by Eduardo Sicangco, who teaches stage design at New York University.
After a quick run of “Princess Classics,” Disney on Ice returns to the South Florida area in March with “Worlds of Fantasy.” The show is having its second run at the Bank Atlantic Center in Sunrise and the American Airlines Arena in Miami in less than a year. In “Worlds of Fantasy,” Mickey, Minnie and friends are on a road trip when they find themselves on Route 66 with the cast of “Cars.” They later find themselves in the African pridelands of “The Lion King,” under the sea with Ariel and friends, and then in the fairy world of Tinkerbell.
